DESCRIPTION OF THE TRIP

¡MY TRIP TO THE BEAUTIFUL CITY OF CALI!

Cali is the capital of the department of the Cauca Valley; It is located approximately 9 hours by land and by plane 45 minutes. It is a city that is characterized by the empathy of the people and the diverse tourist places of great welcome necessary for the rest. This trip was made approximately two years ago in the company of some great friends, I clearly remember that it was a trip planned previously and from which great learning was obtained.

Travel on a Tuesday at 6:40 in the morning by air; It was my first plane trip so I was very nervous to experience that first experience.

We arrived in the city of Cali where we went to a beautiful farm, surrounded by a beautiful garden, very colloquial rooms, corridors with water fountains, very special paintings, swimming pool and very comfortable spaces for spiritual encounter and prayer. The climate of this place exceeds 26 degrees Celsius, very pleasant at times; However, when you are not used to it, it is usually uncomfortable, which causes you to drink a lot of water, cholada and lemonade.

I still remember those afternoons of long walks where it was possible to visualize the panorama of the city of Cali, accompanied by pandebonos vallunos and oatmeal very cold. Cali has an extensive and diverse trade, with incredible crafts that attract the attention of tourists. I bought many gifts and blankets to bring my family back.

The days of stay in this beautiful city passed between a work space with very vulnerable populations, spaces of meditation and spiritual encounter. Spaces where I got a great learning and it was possible to meet a diversity of people. One day that I remember with much joy was my view of the Acuaparque De La Caña, it has a large number of pools for all tastes, mechanical attractions and amazing salsa dance floors.

I enjoy watching people between 50 and 70 years old with incredible talent and an admirable artistic expression to dance; monopolizing the looks and attention of many people.

There is a diversity of foods to enjoy among which are; the chicken stew, empanadas, marranitos vallunos and arroz atollado. Lovers of fried and arepas. Undoubtedly the most delicious dessert after each of the dishes is the white delicacy. There were seven wonderful days that I would repeat without a doubt.

The Merced archaeological museum: 

This is integrated by a museum of colloquial art and the church of La Merced. It is a space of incredible architecture. Collect pieces from the Quimbaya, Calima, Tierradentro, San Agustín, Tumaco and Nariño cultures. It is a very important museum that denotes culture and history. For in each valuable piece there is a story of thousands of years to tell. It is currently visited by a large volume of tourists.

The Cali Zoo was founded more exactly 49 years ago in the year of 1969, nowadays it is a very attractive tourist place due to the great variety of species; it has an approximate of 233 species with a greater predominance of birds, followed by species of fish, mammals, reptiles, butterflies and amphibians. Currently, it has educational programs to help preserve endangered species and respect for environmental heritage. It also makes it easier for the universities of the city and other parts of the country to integrate the research lines all for educational purposes.

In one of our adventures in the beautiful city of Cali, we found ourselves walking when we observed that the “Acuaparque de la Caña” park was very close; the intensities of heat were intense and curiosity was not expected. However, the curious thing was that we were not prepared for such an adventure and suddenly we thought we could do it; and there arises the most fabulous of this little story, because we decided to buy swimsuits very quickly and entered the park, we had to store our luggage and when we realized we had forgotten some of the elements necessary to travel the park; There was nothing to do, we went barefoot walking around the park and people looked at us and murmured more, but we enjoyed it to the fullest and we came to the conclusion that sometimes unexpected things are the most enjoyed.
